The Waynesville Fly Shop offers a full range
of guiding services including both half day and full day wade trips. We specialize in finding waters with excellent trout
and take pride in our ability to help clients with little or no experience catch fish. With hundreds of miles of high quality
trout waters within a short drive of our shop, our guides have the ability to cater your flyfishing trip to your level
of experience, and will send you home with memories that will last a lifetime. We offer wade trips to the well
known delayed harvest waters on the Pigeon, Tuckaseegee, and Nantahala Rivers as well as the more remote wild trout waters
of the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. All guiding activities are conducted under the required Special Use or Commercial
Use Authoriztions, insurance, and licenses.
Individuals with disabilities are encouraged to contact the shop
to discuss the fly fishing opportunities. The Waynesville Fly Shop believes in making the fly fishing experience available
to all interested people and will work very hard to accomodate your needs. Please don't let past experiences or closed
doors keep you from exploring the possibility of enjoying an afternoon (or lifetime) of fly fishing! The Waynesville Fly Shop
is an equal recreation opportunity provider.
Wade Trips 1/2 Day with one angler $150 ($225 for
two anglers) Full Day with one angler $200 ($275 for two anglers)
All fly fishing equipment and waders can
be provided. If you have your own waders, it's often better to use them because of the fit and comfort associated with
your own pair vs. one of ours.
Guided trips are limited to people over twelve years old. However, arrangements
can be made for fly fishing with younger anglers on easier waters. Contact the shop for more information.
Please
remember that a substantial portion of a guide's wages come from tips. The Waynesville Fly Shop's guides are among
the best in the region with more than seventy years of combined experience fly fishing these waters. They will work very hard
to ensure you have an excellent experience on our NC trout waters, so please tip well to let them know they did a great job
for you.
